practice from the Natural Health Clinic (Cotham Hill, Bristol). He has also joined forces with Charlotte and Tom Brydon-Smith to create new affordable acupuncture clinics for Bristol. Bigroom acupuncture is currently available at The Wild Goose Space, St. Werburghs (see 'Clinics & prices' page for more information). Tom graduated from the University of Westminster’s BSc Acupuncture course in 2007 after three years of full-time study and clinical experience. During his training, he treated people with various conditions in the University of Westminster Polyclinic, and the NHS Gateway clinic in Clapham. He enjoys treating a wide variety of patients and conditions, and regularly attends specialised training courses. These have included acupuncture for pregnancy and childbirth; auricular (ear) acupuncture; traditional pulse diagnosis; treating physical pain; and scalp acupuncture for neurological conditions. Tom and his wife Kate Simants also produce videos and multi-media projects, mainly relating to acupuncture. An example is the popular Manual of Acupuncture Multimedia DVD-ROM, a training aid for acupuncture students. See www.boatyardproductions.co.uk for more information.
Acupuncture can be very helpful for many of the problems encountered during pregnancy.
